THE SCIENCE 

Derived from grass-fed, free-range cow fat, Tallow makes up almost 80% of Zero BS products. It is rich in Vitamins A, D, K, and E and Omega-3. Its full range of fatty acids, provide deep nourishment and hydration to the skin while reinforcing its moisture barrier to ward off dehydration and maintain suppleness. Furthermore, it aids in softening the skin and fostering a vibrant and youthful appearance. It is suitable for babies, various skin types including dry, sensitive and those with mature skin.

Tallow, with a 55% saturated fat profile akin to our skin's sebum, replenishes the skin's natural barrier, with no nasty chemicals or preservatives.

Similar to the microbiome in the gut, our skin harbours vital micro organisms that are crucial for maintaining optimal skin health. In order to eradicate bacterial growth in water-based products, conventional skincare formulations use chemical preservatives. However, upon application, these preservatives can disrupt the skin's natural microbiome. In contrast, as Zero BS contains no water (aqua), our natural ingredients are able to support the skin while feeding its microbiome.

Being a mammal fat, tallow's nutrient profile and compatibility with the skin's barrier make it a valuable ingredient. Its ability to enhance hydration and strengthen the protective barrier highlights its therapeutic potential for healthy skin.

As a 100% natural skin food, Zero BS products are non-standardized, meaning that their consistency may differ depending on the season and ambient temperature. For example, our products are softer in summer and harder in winter. The product can also feel grainy in winter as the fatty acids may separate under cold conditions. Don’t fret! Once in contact with body temperature the product reconstitutes itself and becomes smooth and spreadable.

 THE STORY

The Zero BS journey began when Warren became the single, adoptive parent of a four-month-old baby girl. Following years on the cortisone and aqueous cream hamster wheel and concerned that most skin products on the market were synthetic chemicals and petroleum based, he began looking for natural alternatives for his daughter’s skin psoriasis.

After much research, Warren came across a traditional skin care recipe that had been used for thousands of years. Working in his kitchen for 6 months, he developed a product that had a dramatic impact on his daughter’s skin.

 Research

Warren’s search for a natural alternative, led him to adapt a traditional skin care recipe, using free range grass-fed TALLOW (Beef Fat) as the main ingredient. Working in his kitchen for 6 months, he developed a product that had a dramatic impact on his daughter’s skin, Warren began sharing his balm with friends and family.

Excited by the feedback and remarkable results, he and lifelong friend Yael, took the product to laboratory and formulated a range of Zero BS Skin Food products. Today Zero BS is produced at a cosmetics factory under stringent industry controls.

 Results

Zero BS has cracked the code for long lasting skin hydration. Long lasting skin hydration reduces the appearance of fine lines, improves skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It improves the skin’s suppleness, promotes even skin tone, reduces acne and pimples, diminishes scar tissue, as well as soothes damage caused by sunburn, radiation therapy and household burns.

The 100% natural ingredients used in Zero BS, may result in slight variation of colour, fragrance, and density of the product depending on season and ambient temperature. This by no means impacts its effectiveness.
